Hey we're here! Now we're looking for a building to hold services in! I miss home but Im excited to be here starting this new chapter in my life and the life of my family. School starts in just 6 days!!! How crazy is that? Well time is short and I have to run but I thought I would give a quick update!

Home and packing

Hey Im home and I miss camp and all my peeps there!!! We're packing for the move...a week from this saturday on august first we drive to Kansas never to return!!!!! Im going to miss all my friends and family! Pray for us please as we begin this journey. We're starting a Free Will Baptist Church so this si going to be hard, but we're trusting God.

A Crazy Schedual..or however thats spelled!!

Its pretty crazy here! Mike is gone, and Carrie is gone as well. Abbie leaves Sunday for a week so that leaves just me and Jonah until Thursday!!! Things will be hectic and I know I will be falling into my covers exhausted every night! I go home Thursday or Friday so we can start moving. I'll miss everyone here and the camp. Its been a great summer so far!So....that's about it!

A little mix of everything!

1st on my agenda random "band" stuff.

1: My sister thought Relient K was a person...actually she thought Matthew Thiessen was Relient K (thats partly my fault) ha-ha.

2: I was cropping some of the pics from a Hawk Nelson Concert I went to and I came across a pic I took of this guy @ worlds of fun and I was all like who's he? Carrie was all is it Hawk or Nelson?

2nd Spirit Camp is here!!!!!!! They are amazing they do meals on wheels in the mornings, play great games, and have awsome worship services!!!!! Im sooo glad they're here there's so many of them and that means more work for us but its worth it!!!!! They have one counsler (Jeff) and he is great! He loves God with everything that he has and he's here for himself just as much as he is the campers, he gets up at 3 in the morning and still has more energy than any of the campers by far! Next week we get middle school spirit camp. I only have two more weeks, Im leaving on July 4th, and then Im moving to Kansas *sadness* my dad is going to start and church with the Free Will Baptist home mission board in kansas. Im not looking forward to the move at all but I know its what God wants for us so Im going to have to deal with it. I'll miss all my friends...however here are some camp moments that "helped" me deal with the move.....

Me: Im moving to Kansas

Mike: Where at in Kansas?

Me: They didn't tell me

Mike: It doesn't matter no where in Kansas is good.



Me: ...and he told me through e-mail!!!

Carrie: Yeah I knew this morning.

Me: YOu found out before me!?!?!?

Carrie: Yeah I was just letting you talk.

Me:...oh



Jonah: When?

Me: July sometime

Jonah: Where?

Me: Kansas

Jonah: suckfest!!



(no offense to anyone in Kansas, I like it I just would like to stay...here)



My back is better!!!! They anionted me and prayed over me so praise God!!! Well thats it!

Slip, Sliding, and Working our Way around Camp

So this week we have lead camp, (which is 4 deaf ppl) and its pretty cool. They bring all their own stuff so we're eating at the house. The kitchen floor is tile and Mike slid across the floor, then I fell into a wall bounced of the chair a flew across the room. I barely missed Carrie's ankle (se sprained it). I feel sad cause I might leave next week instead of in 2 weeks, because I hurt my back really bad and I can't work so if it doesn't get better they're thinking about sending me home. It started hurting yesterday when me and Mike were building shelves and he left to talk to Sarge and when he got back I was on the floor and I couldn't get up, he had to help me. We went to the doctor and they said they think its a mix of my Kidneys and just straining my back so...thats not good! They anointed me and prayed over me and I got better but when I was getting out of bed my whole lower back like popped, and it hurts to move! So I hope I get better....If my back hurts I want to go home cause I wont be able to work, but I said I would be here for a month and I want to be able to finish my month. So....thats it!

Moments at Camp

So these are little moments at camp, some of them will make no sense and you might not think they're funny, but Im sharing them anyway!

Carrie: *singing* Oh, its fun to be a winner but its better to be a sinner...
Mike: um....thats not how it goes
Carrie: yeah I knew that

Morgan: So...Jonah I hear you're marrying a fish. (he kissed a fish)
Jonah: Yup
Mike: *something*
Jonah: What?
Mike: Its bad
Jonah: Tell me
Mike: I said the fishes name is Kelsy
Jonah: ...
Mike: Told you it was a bad joke.

Me: ...
Jonah: ...
Me: ...
Jonah: *picks up 80 lbs of cement* Lets play Hot Potatoe

Mike: *over radio* Kathrine could you come to the kitchen
Carrie: *over radio* Its not Kathrine and she's coming
Me: *walks into kitchen*
Mike: Sorry I called you Kathrine over the radio.....so
Me: *puts up two plates* Its okay
Mike: You need a ride anywhere?
Me: Back to the house.

Hunter ( 6 yrs old): Spell I CUP!!!!
Me: Kay....I-C-U-P
Hunter: *laughs* she said I see you pee!!!!!
Jonah: *attempt at scary voice* That was innapropraite
Me: ...sorry?

Scott (counsler guy): *over radio* HELP!!!!
Carrie: *over radio* What???
Scott: *radio* I have a dead fish! It needs CPR
Carrie: *radio* okay?

Me: There's a dead fish
Camper: Is it Full?
Me: Yeah its dead...
Camper: No, is it full?
Me: Yes its completely dead.
Camper: *sigh* Its dead because we killed it, its not full....the "meat" is gone.
Me: *rows away from the shore in canoe*

Camper 1: *screams* Oh my Gosh!!!! (they're in a canoe)
Camper 2: WHAT??
Camper 1: A gaint fish is following us!!! (they're also at fishing camp)
Camper 2: Oh My Gosh!!! *rows frantically*
Camper 1: There's two of them
Camper 2: *screams*
Camper 1: *laughs hysterically*

Sarge: What is that?
Me: My personal loaf of bread.
Sarge: How come you -
Me: Cause Alice likes me more than she likes you.
Sarge: *reaches for it, I block him* I write the checks.
Me: I eat bread.

so...those are some of the camp moments I know some of them might not be funny or make much sense but I hope you enjoyed them.

First day at Camp!!!

Hello my awsome peeps, I miss you all like crazy!!!!! Love you guys!!! Soooo.....the core-staff consists of me, Carrie (26), Jonah(19 or 20), Mike(20 or 21), and Abby(23 or 24?) (but she's a director this week so she's not with us.) Ah my story from last night, Im staying in the downstairs of the main house, and I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth and stuff getting ready for bed and all. Well I guess Jonah and Mike didn't know we (me and Morgan who is 9) and they came in through the back door and all I heard was people coming in and Im all ...hello? It was one of those you had to be there things but anyway we all scared each other. Also Im like the probie...makes me sad. This morning Maretha was all Jonah, Mike, Carrie, kaitlin is under you just order her around...Im like hey we are equals!!!!!! lol....But when we had to meet the campers Sarge (Mike L. camp director) introduced me as their granddaughter so It makes up for it. Actually Jonah saved my behind, cuz they rearranged they kitchen and I was supposed to put stuff up before this and that and Im like um...where? So yeah Jonah was very helpful. Im working under Carrie this summer but she's awsome soo its all cool! She is an amazing driver!!!! *teehee* and Mike is like new kid Im gonna go clean the gator now...and Since Abby is directing this week I haven't talked to her. However since today was check in day we didn't do much soo 2morrow the real work begins...um.....yeah well love u guys! Miss ya!

Communtiy Service and Getting Ready

Today at School we had a community service day, we split up in groups and went and cleaned up around town. Worked in the press box at our football field. I painted ceilings, walls, steps. We had to unscrew and take off the stair railings and sand them, then we put primer on the rails and stairways. We also had to lay newspaper, and tape of area of the walls, and the no slip strips on the stairs so we wouldn't get paint on them. All in all it was hard but fun and very rewarding! If you get a chance to help in your community you should do it!

So school is out tomorrow and then I'm off to work at a church camp for the summer. I'll be core staff (staff that helps take care of the grounds and basically does anything that needs to be done.) I'll be the youngest core staff there by five years! Thankfully my "adopted grandparents" run the camp so I'll be with them. Its going to be a lot of hard work! I had some training last summer and I worked there over Christmas break so I at least have an idea of what I'm getting myself into. I hope that I can be used to impact the campers and parents for Christ. Even though its a Church camp I know God can still use me for his glory this summer. So everyone have a great summer, and I hope to be able to update about actual camp experiences within the next few weeks!!!

What Love Is...

Okay so....for every normal human...(i think idk Im not normal lol) Everyon wants love. But how exactly are we supposed to know what love is? I hear everyone talking about love at first sight or this amazing feeling, but I finally figured something out. Love isn't a feeling, Its a choice we make. Lust is a feeling. Think of that "love at first sight" What was is really? That they were so hot you decided you loved them, I think it was more like "Lust at First Sight" Don't get me wrong when you love someone there is deffinatly an attraction but its a choice you make. I mean when I see a guys with huge blue eyes, singing into a microphone on top of a building....anyway. Also "love" isn't for everyone....let me rephrase everyone is going to love and lust at some point in time in their life but maybe God's plan doesn't include you getting married. Me personally I want to get married and have kids. 

I thin the reason that the divorce rate in America is so high is that people went into marrige mistaking lust for love. Lust is wrong to begin with (when taken to the point of sex before marrige etc.) so why should it keep your realstionships together? It shouldn't and It won't. When people say they "Just Fell Out Of Love..." They didn't fall they chose to walk out. Now Im not saying if a realtionship in your life doesn't work that's you fault, cause its not...It takes two people to make a realstionship work. If only one person wants it to work, it won't takes two not one..two. Also People quit bringing God into their lives and realationships with them and that's why everything is falling apart. God can and will get you through.

Also so....what about "me?" Not me specifaclly but the everday highschool kids "In Love." Since love is a choie I believe that highschoolers can be in Love, but to many times we want love to fast and we turn our Lust for Love into something thats close but not real (the common crush) when I sit back and look at all this going on all around me I have to pause and Im like "What The Shnecke?" Ya know? So...just think about this..is Lust? Love? Or You Lust for Love? Just something to think about...
